What Kind Of Review Can You Expect?

If I could describe what kind of reader I am, I would hands down say I was an emotional one. When I read I want to fully experience the book, from the emotions coursing through the characters to reacting to the twist and turns of the storyline. I'm looking for those books that fire up my imagination and leave me breathless when it's over. It's for this reason why the reviews I write aren't so much what I think and are more on how I feel. My hopes in sharing my review in this way is that something will spark an interest and have you wanting to have the same experiences. This isn't to say I don't have issues with grammar, word choices etc. Trust me I do and most times all it takes is waiting for the story to grab hold for it not to matter. When I do include things about what I thought about the book (for example I've included comments about word choices and being too descriptive), I only do so because it directly affected how I felt. I hope this helps. Enjoy!

Picture Perfect by Deena Remiel

Picture Perfect
Deean Remiel
Romance Suspense

Jamie has it all, looks, brains, and a charming personality. But in this romance cover model’s world, those blessings become a curse when a colleague blurs the line between reality and fantasy. Will women only see him for his looks and never look below the surface to the man beneath?

Hope had a dream job, working with sexy, hot photographs, turning authors’ dreams into reality. When laid off from her publisher as a cover artist she must find her namesake in life again…some kind of hope for her future. Can a birthday wish give her what she truly desires? They say be careful what you wish for.

Destiny seems to bring Jamie and Hope what they need, each other. But a dangerous obstacle stands in their way as obsession turns deadly. Can Jamie trust in Hope’s grounded nature? Is Hope strong enough to live in Jamie’s world? Or will reality intrude on their fantasy of being together?

"Jamie." Her tone, very matter-of-factly. He cocked his head to the side and furrowed his brow.
"Hmmm. Say it again."
"Jamie." This time, her voice held a tenderness that tinged the edges.
He leaned toward her, just a touch. Just enough to let her know she intrigued him. "I like the way you say that. Say it again."
"Jamie," came out in a breathless sigh as she leaned in towards him so that their lips were but a touch away, and a questions played in the sparkle of her eyes.
"Hope," he murmured and closed his on, moving through that last bit of space to press his lips against hers."

That pretty much sums up the entire book.... FULL OF SWOON! I absolutely adored, loved, heavy sighed and couldn't get enough of this story. I was so excited to hear Deena Remiel was releasing a new story and found it SO hard to put down! I love stories where they pull you easily in and hold on tight. They have you right there, watching the characters and feeling right along side with them. What also made this an incredible read for me is knowing Jimmy Thomas was the muse behind Jamie, the sexy cover model, looking for love but never knowing if he can find it. I've met Jimmy so picturing him was PERFECT (yep, I went there) and brought it to life for me. Even now, I'm sitting here sighing!

Picture Perfect tells the story of Jamie and Hope, two people who've been hurt by love and find it hard to trust the intentions of others. Both are in the same field, and poor Jamie finds himself having a difficult time finding a meaningful relationship. While people see his outer beauty, they either want him for his looks or succumb to jealously when they see the beautiful photos he creates. He has so much to offer the right woman, the trouble is - how does he find her?

Hope is alone and after an accident on the beach, stumbles across Jamie. His gentleman manners and concern for her, touch her heart and she honestly has to ask whether he's too good to be true. There's an instant connection and the chemistry between them is swoonworthy. Everything looks set for them to explore a relationship but a threat arises, challenging the newness of their affection.

Jamie ... Jimmy... Jamie. Huge sucker for this character! HUGE! I loved everything about him, the insecurities, tenderness, consideration and definitely - the incredible sex appeal. There's something to be said about reading a book where you've met the muse. Jamie really came alive for me and became personal. I loved the way he treated Hope, giving that quiet assurance there ARE wonderful men out there. I felt so bad for him - to have to constantly wonder the intentions of others. Do they like him for who he truly is or because of what he can offer? It must've been so lonely for him so if Jamie couldn't have me (LOL) I'm glad he found Hope *insert sigh here* Amazing!

Have I said how much I love this story?? This author truly is a favorite of mine because the interactions she created between Jamie and Hope were perfect. They're the kinds of things you wish the person you love would whisper to you. You sit reading, and you find yourself leaning in close. Kisses are shared and you can almost feel it on your own lips. This has become one of the books I turn to when I need something that feels good and helps lift my reading funk. It's the perfect book to snuggle under the covers with and lose yourself in! Happy reading!

Thank you for sharing today. I have read the Brethren books, which I love, and was wondering how the switch to a different genre was going to go. I now look forward to reading Picture Perfect on those days when you need that little something special just like you said and it is nice to have a new title for that to turn to:)
