What Kind Of Review Can You Expect?

If I could describe what kind of reader I am, I would hands down say I was an emotional one. When I read I want to fully experience the book, from the emotions coursing through the characters to reacting to the twist and turns of the storyline. I'm looking for those books that fire up my imagination and leave me breathless when it's over. It's for this reason why the reviews I write aren't so much what I think and are more on how I feel. My hopes in sharing my review in this way is that something will spark an interest and have you wanting to have the same experiences. This isn't to say I don't have issues with grammar, word choices etc. Trust me I do and most times all it takes is waiting for the story to grab hold for it not to matter. When I do include things about what I thought about the book (for example I've included comments about word choices and being too descriptive), I only do so because it directly affected how I felt. I hope this helps. Enjoy!

The Undoing Of A Libertine by Raine Miller

The Undoing Of A Libertine
Raine Miller
Erotic Historical Romance

Self-serving libertine Jeremy Greymont likes his sex on the rough side and his women anonymous. Perfectly content milling along through life on an existence of courtesans and fine Scotch whisky, Jeremy has a naughty past and his own demons to contend with, but he's run out of time with his grandfather regardless. Jeremy needs an heir—posthaste. The lovely Georgina seems like the perfect answer to his predicament and intrigues him like no woman ever before. Jeremy can’t wait to get started on the baby-making and is even willing to tone down his preference for the wild romps he’s always enjoyed. There’s always time to teach her about that later, right? But Georgina's demons trump Jeremy's in so many ways. A brutal assault has left her damaged and vowing she can be wife to no man—not even Jeremy Greymont. What is a libertine to do?

Raine Miller has done it again! She's written a book that sent me into a full blown swoon and left me DESPERATE for more. I loved her first book, His Perfect Passion, and thought Darius was amazing (I believe my words were liquid chocolate) so I knew I could expect another wonderful read. Well, it should've come with a warning label - Jeremy blew me away. He had me completely hooked, and all I wanted to do was to rip him from the pages to make him mine!

I love the way Raine tells a story. She gathers you in, and introduces you to characters you instantly fall for. It's easy to find that needed connection, where you're eager to find out what lies in store for them. You laugh, you cry, and you want to beat the living crap out of anyone who dares hurt or try to come between the hero and heroine. I loved becoming invested in the story, making it extremely hard to put down. You forsake eating, sleeping, interacting with the world!

Georgina was a heroine after my own heart. She went through such a horrible ordeal, but emerged on the other side stronger. I wanted to protect her, I wanted to scream as the story unfolded, but she was no weak, soft spined woman. She hung on, and watching her journey was incredible.

Jeremy ... ahhhh, Jeremy. I've said it before. I LOVE the flawed hero. The more he has the better, and I loved watching him fall for Georgina. He had me shaking my head, wondering if he'd ever get it. He had me swooning over how gentle he was with her. But most of all, I adored his protective streak, how he was prepared to battle the Devil if he needed. He made mistakes, but together, him and Georgina worked through them. Sooooo much to say about this man *sighs* You don't want to miss meeting him!

Okay, I'm going to admit, as love as I loved Jeremy and Georgina, I HATED ... I LOATHED the villian of this story, but OMGSH ... it made for amazing reading. Raine can write an incredible romance, and she can write evil so delicious, there were times I expected a MWAHAHAHAHAHA to come flying over the pages. Anyone else go to the live pantomine shows where the bad guy shows up, and the crowd screams "LOOK!!!!"? That's what I was doing! It made the read more intense, and I loved it!

This is definitely a book to read and devour. Mark my words, Raine Miller knows how to deliver a story that gives you the complete experience, and leaves you BEGGING for more. She's has amazing talent, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next. Bring on the swoon!!
