Preternatural series #2
Zoe Winters
Paranormal Romance
All he's asking for is her soul.
After buying the antebellum home she's fantasized about since childhood, Anna Worthington discovers Luc, a dangerously seductive incubus who has been trapped in the house by a fifty-year-old curse. To rid herself of her problem house guest she'll call on a priest, gypsies, ghost hunters, and the coven of witches from lust bunny hell. All she has to do is resist him long enough to break the spell so they can go their separate ways. If she doesn't, she could die. And that would be the best case scenario.
I'm going to do something I've NEVER done before BUT once you see it, you'll be able to see why this book excited me so much! Okay, you ready?
There are book trailers, and then there are BOOK TRAILERS and this one made me desperate to read Save My Soul. I was fortunate to have a copy to review for the blog tour and with an afternoon to spend, I jumped in with both feet and I was blown away.
Why hadn't I read this book and author before? Save My Soul was EVERYTHING I love about reading romance. It had a great storyline that kept me interested and buried deep within the story. It had relatable characters who you just wanted it all to work out for. Of course, it had a sexy as heck hero who seriously made me swoon a few times and and the sexual tension? OMGSH! I was in heaven. I loved the bantering back and forth between Anna and Luc, for me it's what pushed the story over the top and made it a book I raved about on Twitter. I loved the intensity and heat between them. Luc wanted her.... Anna wanted him.... would she give him her soul? Should she give him her soul? The fact that Luc was an incubus was deliciously frustrating because the moment Luc turned on the charm I wanted Anna to give herself over to him, but she showed amazing control, thinking it through, showing me she had spine and enough common sense to look at the fine print. I loved how the author drew it out between them, giving just enough to elicit a giddy sigh and leave you begging for more.
I will say, I NEVER saw the end coming. EVER! I loved the whole reading experience but the ending had me flying out my seat shouting "NO FREAKING WAY!" I loved being surprised in a book, of being delivered a story where the author has me so wrapped up looking over there, that I don't see the sneaky things she's doing in the other corner. It has me excited to go back and read the first book and any future book she releases in this series.
This is DEFINITELY a book to go out a grab a copy of. Zoe Winters delivers one heck of a paranormal romance, one that still has me buzzing as I sit here and type out this review. You'll fall hopelessly in love with Luc and will be frantically trying to find a way to shove your soul into the book for him. And here's something to tempt you (because I know it tempts me) but Zoe has another swoonworthy character that was the right kind of villian - Cain *shivers* He was magnificent! Keep your eye out for her next release. Happy reading!

What Kind Of Review Can You Expect?
If I could describe what kind of reader I am, I would hands down say I was an emotional one. When I read I want to fully experience the book, from the emotions coursing through the characters to reacting to the twist and turns of the storyline. I'm looking for those books that fire up my imagination and leave me breathless when it's over. It's for this reason why the reviews I write aren't so much what I think and are more on how I feel. My hopes in sharing my review in this way is that something will spark an interest and have you wanting to have the same experiences. This isn't to say I don't have issues with grammar, word choices etc. Trust me I do and most times all it takes is waiting for the story to grab hold for it not to matter. When I do include things about what I thought about the book (for example I've included comments about word choices and being too descriptive), I only do so because it directly affected how I felt. I hope this helps. Enjoy!
